Nantes – Essaouira direct flight: a white-and-blue medina on the Atlantic

From 27 October 2026, easyJet launches a direct Nantes – Essaouira flight, twice a week. Essaouira is Morocco's ocean side: a UNESCO-listed walled medina, a lively fishing port and a long beach swept by the trade winds.

The right rhythm

Two simple options: Saturday to Tuesday for a three-night long weekend, or Tuesday to Saturday for four weekday nights. For a proper break, Saturday to Saturday or Tuesday to Tuesday gives you a full week.

• The medina, with its white lanes and blue shutters, art galleries and thuya-wood workshops.

Essaouira in winter

Winter is mild, often around 20 °C in the afternoon. The wind can be cool, so pack a jacket, especially for sunset on the ramparts.

From the airport to the medina

The airport is about fifteen kilometres from town, roughly twenty minutes by taxi. Agree the fare before setting off, or book your transfer in advance: cars can't enter the medina, so your driver will drop you at one of the gates.
